  • John Aho MD, PhD

    John Aho MD, PhD – CEO & Chief Medical Officer

    Inventor. Board Certified General Surgeon and surgeon-scientist with extensive experience developing devices, combination products, and subsequent clinical trials for FDA regulatory submissions. He has a proven track record of overseeing the development of devices, collection, study, and analysis of patient data for regulatory approval. 90+ published manuscripts and 20+ patents. Well recognized and published expertise in tension pneumothorax and publications have influenced ATLS and TCCC guidelines.

  • Sasha Gentling, CFA

    Sasha Gentling, CFA – Co-Founder & Executive Vice President of Business Development

    10+ years of finance experience, including asset allocation, government affairs/public policy, and investor relations functions. Sasha has worked at Keybanc Capital Markets, Discerene Group, and Mayo Clinic Treasury Services as part of its asset allocation strategy. Sasha received her MBA with honors from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder. Ms. Gentling is focused on developing strategic partnerships for Pneumeric Inc.

  • Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein, MD – Chief Regulatory Officer

    Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein, MD – Chief Regulatory Officer

    Formerly a senior official at the United States Food and Drug Administration, gained international notoriety when he used publicly available data to demonstrate the lack of efficacy of a multibillion-dollar cardiac drug. Previously, he played a central role in the development of beta-blockers for heart failure, starting at a time when they were contraindicated and ending in proof that beta-blockers improved symptoms and survival for patients with heart failure. While serving at the FDA, he led the team that created the first two prototypes of what became the Breakthrough Therapy Designation program and several similar outwardly looking programs.

  • Todd Wiltshire - CFO & Chief Investment Officer

    Todd Wiltshire - CFO & Chief Investment Officer

    Over thirty years of experience in finance, including product and business development, government affairs/public policy, and trading functions. He has worked at Morgan Stanley, UBS, and most recently spent 14 years in Fidelity Investments Capital Markets unit as VP of Securities Finance / Prime Brokerage. In this capacity he also represented Fidelity on various domestic and international industry groups. Since April 2020 he served as SVP of Corporate Development at BioSig Technologies, Inc., a medical technology firm. Todd earned an AB in Government and Law from Lafayette College and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.

  • Justyn Whitson

    Justyn Whitson

    Justyn Whitson is a public safety official of 13+ years. With a background in police, fire, and EMS, his firsthand knowledge and experience allow him to educate first responders in using new and upcoming technologies. He has assisted in successfully launching new products into the chest trauma space before joining the Pneumeric, Inc. team.
